Beach Shack

13bbbb1 300x203 Beach ShackThis picture may not look like much. But if you could see the location

You would understand why I posted it. The gate opens onto one of the

most beautiful beaches in hawaii.

How many times have we all considered just living in a shack on the beach.

More my favorite beach

13bbbbb 300x200 More my favorite beach

This is a remarkable beach. It’s next to my favorite beach. And is generally dead quite.

With the exception of the Dolfins. They usually show up around noon or so. And are always in a playful mood.

They usually hunt at night . Its a tough life they lead.

My favorite Beach

This is a photo taken by photographer Patricia Cline. A regular guest and now close friend.

This is my all time favorite beach. Its a fifteen min drive and another fifteen minutes of walking on the old kings trail. But worth every step.

Surf Photo: the Ultimate Tube

The ultimate tube
The ultimate tube

I used to surf maui. There was a spot if you had a west swell . Which was rare. And when the water would glass off .

You could catch tubes like this.
What the sky and ocean can offer.

Orange Sprakilia

I’ve been collecting tropical bulbs for some time. And this is one of my all time favorites.

Sprekelias are native to Central Mexico. I had them in Southern California for years.

If your interested in acquiring a bulb try eBay I see them there quite often.

Hawaii Flower: the Epiphyllum

Hawaii Flower Epiphyllum

This particular Epiphyllum is one of my all time favorites. Its not all that uncommon but the colors really throw me.

I got this one as a cutting from my sister . Last year it must have put on at least 50 blooms.  I abuse the plant and the more I do the more it grows.

Saffron Finches on Feeder

These are my saffron finches, one of the many Hawaii bird species common in the islands.

I began seeing just two or three at first, but within a week of putting up the bird feeder I had this bunch.
